Would you tell your mum, if you were Gay?

Rebecca, came to work looking daze yesterday.

A few of us decided to lunch with her to check out if everything is ok. We didn't  even need to ask. As soon as we sat down at the restaurant, she blurted out that her 17 year old son had just told her he's gay. Surprisingly her husband was fine but she's still in shock. What now?

Wow that's a big one! Lisa ( her close friend in the office) said "Be proud that you've raised someone who actually wants you to know who he is." I thought that was pretty wise. Our office cleaning lady was just complaining to me, she don't know what's wrong with her son. He came home one day after going missing for weeks, with all his arms & legs tattooed. And these days when he talks to her its either asking money for cigarettes or beer! 

Anyway I'm glad Lisa was there, she's the office Dr Phil. She further reminded Rebecca that it's OK that her son is not going to have the life she imagined for him. It might take a minute to let go of her dream & adjust to his reality. But just remember basically he's still the same person he was the day before he shared his sexual orientation. Well said !

We all chipped in our views, all supportive. I thought to myself, what if it happens to my brother? Then I realized, it wouldn't have matter. I'll still love him to bits, like Lisa said he'll still be the same to me, as he was since day 1. I wouldn't have loved him any lesser.

Creative way to propose !

Last Friday, in front of all of us, my immediate Boss handed Allison (the girl he's dating , also she's sitting next to me) a note. He claimed a Chinese client of his had given to him & ask her to translate it since it was in Mandarin ( he's from America).

Allison read it loud, "Will you marry me?"  & he responded, " YES!"

You should have seen all our reactions. The ladies all clapped almost all went teary eyed with envy, the guys shouted 'bravo' & what nots ..... WOW !!!! We were seriously super happy for them!

I'm going to get her a frame to frame up that note, & now we are all busy planning her wedding!

What you bring to a potluck?

Last week end I went to a pot luck. The occasion? Ella, my friend's new colleague's (from her new job) house warming. Ya.... I know you might be wondering, shouldn't the host provide the food right? Well I was asking the same question. The excuse was, he don't cook, his wife don't either. And I was thinking we are all not Gordon Ramsay or Jamie Oliver either.

And why was I even invited? OK, I was really restless, called Ella out for dinner & she told me about this house warming she's going to. Swanky neighborhood, big nice house, was I curious? Yes I was !!! So that's how I got invited. The host told everyone to bring something as he's afraid there might not be enough food, as he only cater for like 20 & 40 people are coming.

What I brought? I went to buy a pecan pie. It's not a pot luck unless there's a pecan pie & delicious wine of course. I got a bottle as well. In fact there were others that thought like me. We end up having many bottles of wine- the party is looking very promising ...lol...

Ella brought 2 soya sauce chicken from Crystal Jade. I was thinking strange choice- but it turn out to be a big crowd favorite, as was my pecan pie ..... It was a great success thanks in part to the endless supply of wine.

Where's my GarbaSlim ? Who took my GarbaSlim ?

Since I've lost all my excess weight, I've manage to maintain quite well with the help of my fat burner GarbaSlim. The strategy is to take it (not every day) but once every few days when I feel I've eaten just a little too much. Or if I'm constipated, I take it too- it seriously help with that ....haha... thank god.

These days, I place one bottle of this GarbaSlim in the office since I spend most of the time there. The other day, I noticed the pills in the bottle seem to be disappearing. One day it was rather full as it's a new bottle & the next it wasn't. Is someone secretly taking my GarbaSlim pills. Someone so cheap as to not buy her own & take it from me?

I can't imagine! Confide in Sara, my lunch kaki & immediately she told me she saw Amanda (another colleague) taking my pills yesterday. She had thought Amanda probably had ask me already. So ..... should I confront her ? Sara ,said "Don't!" then she'll know who told me. I go like "what?????" I'm the victim here, & I've to be so secretive about outing the thief?

Sara explained: It's not about being secretive- it's all about office politics. Amanda is related to the Boss, so it's better for me not to cause a scene. I can't believe it. Now I've to resort to just carrying my bottle of GarbaSlim in my bag. You might wonder why can't I leave it at home right?

The situation is worse at home. My mum, my sister & even my dad would be dipping into my bottle of GarbaSlim! That's Right, this people just can't get their own! My dad loves it, as he is always constipated due to eating all those fried food. These 3 have been losing weight & feeling very happy all at my expense- that's my situation! Now I'm forced to carry my Garbaslim where ever I go !

The other day, my mum ask me : Where's the Garbaslim?
I said : At the doctor's Clinic ....lol....
She finally go there & bought 3 bottles! One for dad, one for herself & one for my sister!
And guess what ...... nothing for me!
Can't help but wonder, was I adopted?

From yesterday onwards I've been carrying this Garbaslim with me in my bag!

What changed your life?

Joyce my colleague came back from a 2 week holiday looking so refreshed & great! We all ask her what she did? Did she fall in love with some tall dark stranger & have romantic dinners & sipped champagne everyday while she was in Europe? What's the secret? She has never looked this good before!

She laughed & told us, nothing of the sort! She went Europe for a week & spent the other week in Singapore. Is not about what she did, but what she gave up! She just gave up Television! We go ....WHATTTTTT................ I can't believe my ears. Gave up TV ? But she's almost like my TV buddy, We use to spend hours discussing who should or shouldn't die in Games of Throne. How Scandal is not scandalous enough. How annoying both Amelia & April are in Greys Anatomy , & how we still miss Sandra Oh's character. What am I going to do now that she has stop watching? Who's going to talk to me now?

Then I realized, up till now, I'm just thinking of only me. So why did she do this ridiculous thing? Who are the people who stop watching TV & why?? She said she didnt have time for herself as she spent most of her time outside of work watching TV. But what's wrong with that? I do the same & I'm perfectly fine & happy! She said for the past week, she started reading, doing hobbies & spending time outside with nature, walking. Next goodbye would be social media , according to her, one vice at a time.

Is eating salad everyday the answer to weight loss?

Many people ask me, do I need to starve myself to maintain my weight. Or do I just go on salads & nothing else. Well I usually send them this pic, like they say a picture paints a thousand words.

It's funny I know, but it also makes sense. So people , you don't have to eat just salads if you want to lose weight. You'll have no energy & pass out in no time. Just eat everything moderately. Don't over do fruit juice either. Didn't your mother tell you it's too cooling, so will weaken your whole system? My doctor agree!

I guess if one go on these salad & fruit juice only diets,  in the end nothing will work, including possibly your brain ...lol...
